Removing molding first.
Taping up floor vents. Note thick, dingy brown old floor finish.
Removing more molding. Note big drum sander near Adrienne.
Mom's taking care of the corners which the orbital sander used along the walls wouldn't reach.
After doing the main floor with drum sander, a heavy duty orbital sander was used along the walls.
Goggles and dust masks were a neccesity away from the open doors..
Note the all-important NIOSH respirator - the fumes are deadly (and stink like crazy too).
All sanded and ready for varnish tomorrow (what a long day!)
More stinky varnish.
Finiished - now to repaint and install new molding.
